Hyland & E. Oak Street Update

Hyland Street Project: The majority of the construction work has been completed for this project. Remaining work to be completed in the spring of 2023 is the sodding work within the disturbed open space areas, the installation of the surface course of asphalt along the project streets, and the restoration of a few asphalt driveway areas behind the new sidewalk.

E. Oak Street Project: Soper Sewer & Water crew is continuing to install the new sanitary and water laterals from the new mainline piping to the connection point at the right-of-way line, which is anticipated to be completed at the end of this week (11/7 thru 11/11). Note that residents may experience short water service disruptions as the crew switches your houses water from the temporary water service line to the new water main. The Contractor will be notifying affected residents of these disruptions as the work progresses. The crew plans to start storm sewer installation work next week (11/14). Alliant Energy will also have a crew onsite starting this week to replace the existing gas main along the project.

Hyland Street Project:  Ptaschinski Construction will be onsite Monday (10/24) to prep. for concrete sidewalk installation as well as pouring concrete for the sidewalk later today and finishing the sidewalk pour on Wednesday (10/26).  Northeast Asphalt will be onsite Tuesday and Wednesday to prep. the roadway gravel base and are planning to install the asphalt binder course along the street on Thursday (10/27).  Driveway restoration work and topsoil placement anticipated to start on 10/28 and may extend thru the weekend or into early next week.   Sodding and the surface course of asphalt along the project streets are anticipated to occur in the spring of 2023. 

 

E.
